International Womens  Coffee Alliance (IWCA) EL Salvador chapter member, Maria Rosa Elena Romero, applied for a micro-loan from the “Women In Coffee Microfinance Learning Loan” project. She learned about loan management and increased her business literacy skills and used the loan to buy roasting and packaging equipment. Maria now employs 13 people and has expanded her business to selling her branded, roasted coffee, as well as baked goods, in local grocery stores and is looking towards export markets.
